The majority of loading damage in vehicle logistics traces back to one factor: improvised ramps. Wooden planks flex under load, slip on wet ground, sit at angles too steep for a standard sedan, and offer no width tolerance if a wheel drifts even slightly off centre. A hydraulic ramp eliminates every one of these failure modes. It bolts to the carrier chassis, extends on a fixed rail, and lowers to a preset angle that keeps the approach well within safe limits for factory ground clearance.

Our ramps are steel-decked with a textured anti-slip surface and side rails that act as tyre guides. The hydraulic cylinder adjusts the landing angle to suit the specific vehicle being loaded, whether that is a tall SUV that can handle a steeper pitch or a lowered sports sedan that needs the ramp almost flat against the ground. This is not a one-size-fits-all plank — it is adjustable engineering that matches each car individually.

Ground clearance determines how shallow the ramp needs to sit before a car can safely drive up without the front lip, splitter or exhaust scraping the transition point. Most factory sedans have around 165 to 170 millimetres of clearance; lowered cars and performance models can sit at 110 or less. If the ramp angle is too aggressive, the underside of the bumper or the front spoiler catches the hinge point between the ground and the ramp, causing cracks, scuffs or outright breakage that costs far more to repair than the loading itself.

We measure the break-over angle before the car moves. For low-clearance vehicles we extend the ramp further out to reduce the incline, and where needed we use bridging plates at the transition to eliminate the hard lip entirely. Every loading site around Gurgaon and across Delhi NCR presents a different surface — tarmac, paver blocks, gravel, sloped driveways — and the ramp setup is adjusted each time rather than using a fixed position regardless of conditions.

A car that will not start, has a dead battery, a seized transmission or flat tyres cannot simply be driven up a ramp. It needs to be winched — pulled by a steel cable anchored to the recovery point or chassis rail, with rollers beneath the wheels where tyres are deflated. Winching done badly drags a vehicle off-centre, catches bodywork on the ramp edge and puts load through components not designed for horizontal pull. Winching done properly uses a slow, steady pull directly along the vehicle centreline with a spotter watching both sides.

Our winch cable routes through a guide roller at the top of the ramp to maintain a straight pull regardless of how far down the vehicle starts. We use rated recovery points only — never tow hooks intended for vertical lift, suspension arms or bumper mounts. For vehicles with completely flat or missing tyres, we position go-jacks or skates under the hubs so the car rolls rather than scrapes. This matters for underbody protection and prevents rim damage on the ramp surface.

Apartment basements, multi-level parking structures and narrow residential lanes across Gurgaon and Delhi NCR present a specific set of challenges that open-ground loading does not. Overhead height limits mean a full-size carrier cannot enter; tight turning radii mean even a small flatbed may not reach the bay. In these situations we position the carrier at the nearest accessible point — typically the society gate or service road — and drive or dolly the vehicle out to the loading zone with a crew member on foot guiding at every corner and ramp.

For gated societies that restrict commercial vehicle entry hours, we coordinate with security in advance and schedule loading during the permitted window. Where headroom is too low for the car to be driven directly onto a carrier at grade level, we use a secondary low-profile ramp that bridges the height difference between the basement exit and the carrier deck. Every step is planned during the site assessment that happens before the crew and equipment are dispatched.

Dealership yards often have dozens of vehicles parked bumper to bumper with minimal manoeuvring space. Loading from a railway siding involves uneven ballast surfaces, limited road access and time pressure from demurrage charges. Workshop yards may have vehicles surrounded by parts, lifts and other obstructions. Each environment demands a site-specific plan: where the carrier parks, which direction it faces for departure, which vehicles move first to create space, and how the ramp aligns with the available clear run.
