Vehicle Transport Explained Without The Sales Pitch

Written by the people who load, secure and deliver the vehicles — not by a marketing department.

Most people arrange vehicle transport once or twice in their lives, usually under time pressure and usually while managing a job relocation at the same time. That combination makes it easy to accept a low telephone quote without asking what it actually covers, and then discover the gaps at delivery. These guides exist to close that knowledge gap before you commit to anyone, including us.

Everything here is drawn from day-to-day work moving cars and bikes out of Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida, Faridabad and the wider NCR to cities across India. We write about the questions we are asked on the phone every week: whether an enclosed carrier justifies its price, what a fair quote should include, how long a route realistically takes in monsoon or peak festival traffic, and what condition documentation protects you if something goes wrong.

We have deliberately kept the tone practical. Where an option is cheaper but carries a trade-off, we say so. Where a delay is outside any transporter’s control, we explain why rather than pretending otherwise. If a guide helps you choose a different provider on better-informed terms, it has still done its job.

Topics We Cover

The Six Areas Our Guides Keep Returning To

Each topic maps to a service we run every day, so you can move from reading to a real quote.

Car Transportation

Open versus enclosed carriers, how door-to-door pickup actually works from an NCR apartment basement, realistic transit times on the long southern and western corridors, and what a written condition report should record before your car is loaded.

Bike Transportation

Why two-wheelers need protective wrapping and fork or handlebar support rather than a simple strap over the seat, how fuel draining works, and what changes when a superbike or a heavily modified motorcycle travels instead of a commuter bike.

Pricing & Cost Factors

What genuinely moves a vehicle transport quote — route and lane frequency, vehicle size and category, shared versus exclusive carrier space, access restrictions and fixed-date departures — plus the charges that should never appear only at delivery.

Corporate & Dealer Logistics

Bulk stock transfers, showroom-to-showroom movement, zero-kilometre handling for new inventory, consolidated invoicing and GST paperwork, and the reporting fleet and leasing teams need when several vehicles move at once.

Vehicle Storage & Warehousing

When storage makes more sense than an early delivery, the difference between covered sheds and open yards, and the periodic battery, tyre and fluid attention a car or bike needs when it sits still for weeks or months.

Transit Insurance & Claims

What transit insurance covers and what it excludes, declared value versus market value, the documents an insurer expects, and why photographs taken at pickup and handover matter more than anything else if a claim is ever raised.
